Welcome to the official website for The James Myatt Memorial Trust.
In 1984 a number of James's family and friends decided that there should be
some permanent memorial to his work for young people and so the Trust was
established.
The policy of the trustees since the start, and at the present time, is to invest
the Trust's funds and to use the income from the capital to assist those young
people who might not otherwise be able to afford the voyage fees, to take part
in offshore sailing. Often such voyages are part of the STA's Tall Ships races.
The vessels are operated by members of the Association of Sea Training
Organisations (ASTO).
